Bridge of Dulnain Blenders

30 Years ago, Old Bridge Blended Scotch whisky was created by: - The Bridge of Dulnain Blenders, the Parker family and friends who, with over 100 years of Scotch whisky experience and industry contacts between them, selected the single malts and grain whiskies that go into Old Bridge.

When these ancient bridges were built, the stonemasons used  key stones to hold the magnificent arches together.   There are 3 main Key Stones that hold our whisky together.  These were carefully selected by The Bridge of Dulnain Blenders.

Single Malt

The centre stone of Old Bridge is light, well rounded single malt blended with as many malts as possible from the Highland Region, reflecting the area where the Old Bridges were most important - the Highlands.

We are pleased to announce that we are working with a new and exciting distillery to provide this light well rounded malt for our future.

Careful Ageing

Up to 70% of a whiskies flavour can come from the wood so our Casks are carefully selected.   We use mostly American Oak casks in our ageing which  give the notes of oak, vanilla and the smooth profile that allows this blend to be easily shared among friends, ensuring everyone will enjoy.

Batch Made

The batches are blended and married together before bottling.   The marrying together process is supervised so that the selected casks blend perfectly together.  This process takes different amounts of time depending on the outside temperature.

An exciting Future

After 30 years we have a new and exciting future.  We are able to work with a new distillery that will provide us with the light well rounded single malt that has always been the backbone of our blends.  Distillation started October 2024 and in 3 years we will be able to start using the first scotch.  The first distillations have produced exactly the style we have been looking for; now we will let the wood and time do its magic.
